Mother's Day

Ok I know it is early but I had seen this primitive cabinet a couple of times at the Antique Mall in Edmonton and it called to me. I went there today to look for a model train station that I was planning on buying for Shawn for Father's Day. Of Course it was gone. Buy it when you see it, is the golden rule. I was texting Shawn about weather he thought the cabinet might fit in the kitchen and he said to buy it when I texted Mike he said he would buy it for Mother's Day. I'll have to show you it once I get it up on the wall. Thanks Boys.

Anthropologie

Theirs 33 Dollars Mine free
Some Blogs that I've been reading hack Pottery Barn but Anthropologie is my pet peeve it has some beautiful things but the prices are outrageous. Every once in a while I go in to get some ideas.

BIG BROTHERS

I always promised Bailey that having 3 older brothers would pay off one day. After many black eyes, bumps and bruises she finally is becoming a young lady. Micheal picked up his new truck Easter Weekend and was feeling especially generous. First he took her to lunch at Applebee's for her favorite riblets and then to Shen Yun. She was so excited and felt so grown up.

Projects, Projects Everywhere...

Do you ever feel like you have a never ending pile of projects. I always have a To Do List on the go but some how my projects always get bumped to the back. I finally got a few done. I had a pile of empty black picture frames, so I grabbed the camera and went for a walk. Came back with some local content and printed it on the printer. It took 30 minutes start to finish but it looks like a million bucks. I recovered the icky computer chair, it sat for a year with a towel over it because the cheap denim covering ripped off soon after we got it. When Bailey got the treadle sewing machine from my Mom the bench came with several layers of horrible fabric covering it. I found some suit fabric we had been dragging around forever and recovered it. Jesse has been wanting a victorian bug box for a long time but the ones at the antique stores are a small fortune. Mom got the butterflies from a friend and I got the frame at Michael's for 40% off. It turned out great just like the expensive ones.

The One That Got Away.

One of my passions is collecting 1930 to 1950's Printed Tablecloths. I have a beautiful collection of about 20 different floral and Christmas patterns. Yesterday I went thrift shopping and as I was checking out at my favorite store the woman in front was purchasing a beautiful cloth covered in fishing tackle. Would it be tacky to grab it from a little old lady with orange hair and run to my car. LOL
